Skate Camp at The St. Cloud Skate Plaza

We will be holding a one day Skate Camp at The St. Cloud Skate Plaza on Saturday June 8th. This event will be FREE for all skaters and it doesn't matter if you have never skated before, or you have been skating for years. We will be splitting the participants up by age and ability, and you will be working directly with a skate coach on whatever skills/tricks you want to improve on.

It doesn't matter if you're trying to learn to ollie or trying to learn your first flip-trick, this camp is all about getting kids involved in skateboarding and helping them progress on their skateboard.

ALL BEGINNER & INTERMEDIATE SKATEBOARDERS WELCOME

- FREE skateboard lessons by skateboarders from the shop

- FREE lunch for all participants

- Learn the basics of skateboarding and have some fun

- Meet kids of your age and ability that are from the area and skate

Skate Unity Donation for the St. Cloud Boys and Girls Club

Yesterday we donated the skate gear we were able to get from the Skate Unity Art Auction to the St. Cloud Boys and Girls Club. The St. Cloud Times was there, check out the video from it. A HUGE THANKS goes out to everyone who helped with Skate Unity this year, we were able to donate 20 skateboards along with helmets and pads to the Boys and Girls Club. Success!!!

Element's No Board Left Behind | Sunday April 7th

TURN YOUR OLD DECK INTO A CRUISER

Element Skateboard Pro's Donny Barley and Levi Brown are coming to the shop to make some cruiser decks. Bring in any old skateboard and they will cut it down into a cruiser shape.

If you buy a new Element Skateboard on this day, you will receive FREE trucks, wheels, and bearings to make a Complete Cruiser. (A $90.00 value). It's pretty simple and an awesome deal ELEMENT is offering- buy a deck and get a free cruiser set-up.

If you can afford to get a new deck that day but still want to meet Donny and Levi you can bring in any old skateboard and they will cut it down to a cruiser shape, you just won't get the free Trucks, Wheels, and Bearings.

Skate Unity Closing Ceremony is Saturday Night

The closing ceremony for Skate Unity will be Saturday April 6th at 7:00pm. We will be hanging out at the White Horse all night and we will stop the auction at 7:00pm sharp. We will also award the $500 to the winner of the Facebook contest. See you there!

Video Session | Skate contest at Saint City Skate Park

We are teaming up with Saint City Skate Park in St. Augusta for a Video Session skate event. This event will be open to the public and all ages and abilities are welcome.

Age Groups:

14 and Under

15 and Older

Open Class

We will be holding qualifying sessions starting at Noon. Each session will have 10 people skating for 15 minutes (we will have as many sessions as needed depending on how many people show up).

We will pick the top 3 skaters from 14 and Under, 15 and Older and the top 6 skaters from Open Class to skate in the Finals where we will be filming and making an edit.

All skaters who make the finals will win prizes along with being in the edit.

It will be free to enter the contest, but you will have to pay an admission fee to skate Saint City.

Frozen Chozen at Ski Gull in Brainerd | This Sunday February 24th!

We are teaming up with The FC for a laid-back, super-fun contest at Ski Gull in Brainerd.

The event will feature both jibs and jumps, and there will be tons of prizes for all participants- especially the winners.

This will be an all ages event.

If you have ever been to a Frozen Chozen invent in the past then you know how fun this is going to be!

2013 Snowrider Classic | Powder Ridge

This will be a slope-style contest with both jumps and jibs.

Cost: $10 which will include a raffle ticket. Additional raffle tickets can be purchased for $5 at the event.

Age Groups:

14 and Under

15 and Older

Girls

Open Class

We will be holding the event in the Main Park at Powder Ridge. There will be a qualifier and finals for each age group. Qualifiers will be a jam format to pick the top 5-7 riders from each group to rider in the Finals.

You will be able to lap the course on both the rope-two and chairlift (or you can hike if you really want to get gnarly)

Awards and Raffle will follow after the event.

Bald E-Gal Cup | Saturday December 1st | Powder Ridge

The Bald E-Gal Cup is a snowboard contest held at Powder Ridge. It will include both rails and jumps along with a few creative features to ride. It is open to all ages and abilities.

Each Age Group will have a qualifier and a finals heat and we will be awarding the top 5 Finalist from the 14 and Under and the 15 and Older groups- the Open Class will be divided into teams and the teams will be competing together to see which team wins the cash.

The Bald E-Gal filming/editing staff will be creating an edit from the event; Good times guaranteed.

Registration: 11am-12pm

Cost: $10

Age Groups:

14 and younger

15 and Older

Open Class

There will also be a $5 raffle for tons of great prizes from our sponsors.

Powder Ridge Park Fund-Raiser

I'm sure you've all noticed the major improvements to Powder Ridge Terrain Park since Michael Wiener took control of it; and I bet you can't wait to see what level he will bring the park up to this winter.

Show your support for the park and everything Wiener is doing out there by rocking a Ride The Parks bracelet or sticker and making a small donation towards the new features that they will have this winter! If everyone who plans on riding the park on a daily basis this season donated a couple bucks, imaging how many new features they could build........
